Book A Remote SessionNeuro-Training kinesiology sessions, whether they are carried out face-to-face or remotely work under very similar principles. There is an energetic connection that helps us to identify what is happening within you and what it is that is needed to help you to create a better neurological response. Because of this energetic connection what we can achieve is the same whether we are working face-to-face or remotely.
We’ve regularly worked remotely used a surrogate person to work on someone who could not physically be present in the clinic rooms at that time, so working in this way is nothing new. A surrogate is someone who stands in for someone else. So in this instance, Melissa will work on your behalf for you and you will get the results. We achieve everything we would in a normal balance.
Despite explaining this, we understand that some of you will be a little bit hesitant. To help you overcome this hesitation we are offering you are large discount for your first session. Book before the 14th April and you will only have to pay the $70 deposit, the balance of the session will not be charged.

These energetic qualities which are in an through each of us and everything do not conform to linear rules of space and time. Whether you are sitting face-to-face with me or across the world, the energy between us interacts and responds the same, therefore, distance remote balancing can be done across the globe or across the suburb and still have the same effects.
However, if you have never have never had a face-to-face meeting with me then this energetic connection will not be as strong. There are ways in which we can make a stronger and more reliable connection, so please get in touch either before or after you have booked a session.

How Does it Work?
When you book in you will be asked for some details regarding what it is that you are wanting to work on. Things such as stress, trouble sleeping, emotional balance, relationships or isolation are all examples of things that you might be finding difficult right now.
Remember that stress affects your health and quite possibly could be interfering with your immune function also. Working on your ability to adapt to stress will help you in so many ways.
After you book, we will ask you to pay a $70 deposit before the session begins (if you book a remote session between the 1-14 April, then the remaining amount from your session will be waivered and there will be no more to pay – this is a promotional discount as I know many of you have never experienced a balance in this way and maybe feeling a little hesitant).
At the time of your session, we will phone you and have a quick check in (just like we do during a face-to-face consult) then we will spend the rest of the hour carrying out the balance. If you can’t take this call or you miss the call, don’t worry too much because it is not essential. You do not need to remain present on the phone during your balance, however if you would like to we can arrange this via the free TeleMedicine platform – Doxy.me. When you book, please let us know that this is what you are wanting and we will send you details.
Within 24 hours after the conclusion of your session, we will send an email with a brief run down on what we worked on and any supportive things you need to do at home to integrate the balance.
Stress Factors
Our generation has never had to face something so significant. It is triggering all kinds of different adrenal response patterns. These are the fight, flight, and freeze responses. They are automatic and come from stressful triggers but they also can create a lot of stress.
Stress is not good for your overall health – ever! Stress affects your heart, digestion, brain function, immune system, hormone balance, sleep patterns etc. etc.
How are we seeing the adrenal stress responses during this pandemic?
Fight – Arguing a point of view and not seeing or respecting others perspectives. Blaming others is another fight type response that we are seeing a lot of in our community.
Flight – run away from conflict, withdrawing from facing the reality, maybe withdrawing into depression, overwhelm or anxiety. These are possibly those individuals in our communities that are not taking measures to slow down the spread of this pandemic.
Freeze – the do nothing approach, either you can’t move or function, performing daily tasks is simply too much. This can also be the adrenal response by those who are not taking measures to slow down the spread of the virus.
Remember, what we are facing now is triggering deep primal responses. We require the right type of support to come back into balance. The more we can create balance in our own lives the more that balance will ripple out towards others, improving the collective consciousness. Do not underestimate the power of changing your own perceptions and reactions.

Stress Lowers Your Immunity
The ripple effects of COVID-19 are undeniable and the stress is affecting everyone.
Here is an easy exercise to help the brain deal with the stress. Obviously, being balanced in a session will be more effective, however in lieu of a session do this everyday regardless.
DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THE DETRIMENTAL AFFECTS OF STRESS ON YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM!
Emotional Stress Release At Home
Whilst holding the front and back of your head, spend at least 2 minutes becoming consciously aware of your breath, just notice as it goes into and out of your body.
You can think about something specific that is stressing you, or you can do this exercise with a clear mind, letting any thoughts drop away. Either method is helpful. As you do the exercise try and gradually slow, relax and lengthen your breath. Do the exercise for at least 2 minutes, longer is better.

Doing this exercise encourages more blood to the front of your brain, this is the thinking area and it will help to calm your stress responses and allow your brain to become more solution focused.
When we stress blood is withdrawn from all of the non-essential processes such as the cerebral cortex (the front brain), even digestion shuts down. This is because innately stress is an adrenal response designed to be triggered during a life threatening situation – these situations are supposed to last for short amounts of time, not days, weeks or months!
The blood that has been withdrawn from your brain and digestion goes directly to the adrenals, which floods our system with adrenaline to give us incredible muscle power. The problem is we can not sustain energy output. This depletes the body quickly of energy and we need energy to run our immune systems effectively.
Fire Up Your Immune System
Use this exercise at home to fire up your immune system. Part of the reason that pathogens such as the COVID-19 virus get their hold upon the body is that your immunity (your defense system) can be too slow to respond.
This exercise will keep reminding your brain “Immune System On! Immune System On! remember…. Immune System On!” It’s a bit like nagging a teenager who just can’t seem to remember to pick up their dirty socks, but trust me its much more effective.

Immune Supplement Support
There are some great all rounder immune support complex’s available. Here are the ones that my parents are taking.
Basically, there are three main vitamins that you might consider which can support immunity strength.
Vitamin C

Take this regularly in small doses of 250mg or less, this will often mean cutting the tablets (as the standard shelf tablets are 500-1000mg) or powders are good. If you take small doses, your body will absorb more with less chance of upsetting your bowels. We are just not designed to have such large doses in single doses.
Vitamin D
If you are taking Vitamin D and want to absorb it better, and put less strain on your kidneys and liver please let me know and I will teach you how to activate this essential vitamin. As our days lengthen, it is a good idea for us to be thinking about Vitamin D supplementation.
Zinc
Remember, it is always important to take your vitamins with food. Food tells your brain that you are doing a nutritional process and you will absorb it better. Especially so when taking zinc, on an empty stomach this can give you a temporary bout of nausea, which is never pleasant.
Zinc can upset some people even with a full stomach. If this happens to you, perhaps you can start with a smaller dose and build up slowly. Feel free to get in contact and we can investigate why zinc is upsetting your digestion.
There are plenty of herbal immune type boosting formulas on the pharmacy shelves. Ideally, we would check any of these supplements for you and make sure they are good quality and that they are right for you.
This is general advice and will not suit every person. Vitamin supplementation will only help if your dietary intake has been inadequate. Seek advice from us in clinic or another health care professional if you are unsure if this advice is right for you.
Clean Up Your Lymphatics
Your lymphatic system is the first response team. The lymph begins the defense response to an incoming pathogen attack. This general lymph process is specific to supporting the body to remove the viral pathogen.
There are two types of fluids in the body; blood and lymph. Blood is pumped around by your heart and the lymph is moved by moving your body. So to support the lymph moving your body is good. Do not let yourself stagnate. Go for walks and do some exercise through this lock down period – everyday. It will support your mental health, it will give you some extra vitamin D and it will help your body move your lymph fluid. But remember, if you become sick you should do only as much exercise as you feel capable of, keep it gentle.
The lymphatic system is the rubbish removal team. If it goes on strike or there is simply too much debris, it can not do its job properly. We store all kinds of rubbish in our lymphatic system such as chemicals, molds, bacteria and viruses. We even store emotions that we find too challenging to deal with in the lymphatic system and this my friend, is much more common that you would ever imagine.
Many of us are walking around with a clogged up the lymphatic system. This will effect your ability to recuperate and defend against viral pathogens such as the flu and COVIDd-19.
Here is another neurological based technique that will help your body clear the lymph of any attacking virus. Do this daily and if you get sick, especially start to do this at first sign of any symptoms. If you get really unwell you will need someone to do this for you.
General Lymph Process (Viral)
While you hold this armpit/breast area ‘open’ rub up and down the outside of your leg from knee to hip. These will vary in degrees of tender depending on how congested the drainage is. Keep rubbing firmly for about 60 seconds repeat on both sides.
Next, rub either side of your spine on your upper back from between the shoulder blades. If you can’t reach you will need to rub yourself on a still object or get someone to rub the area for you. Rub this area for about 30 seconds.
Finish off with squeezing together the end points of the pectoral minor sternum muscle on the right side under the breast. With one hand squeeze down whilst the other hand squeezes up. Repeat this three times, moving the lower hand into a new position as shown. If you are squeezing the right spots with the right intensity they will usually feel a bit tender.
